Biography

Weaponized with pop and dark indie with distinct
aftertaste of industrial metal and progressive rock, this group will open your mind, then burn it and leave only the deepest foundations to be decorated again with alternative perpectives in politics, religion, occult and human relations. At the End will be the end of your search of hope, in both good and bad.

The band consists of vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Jarno-Erik Faarinen, guitarist Teemu Kiiskilä, keyboardist Jussi Kauppila, bassist Aleksi Kastelli and drummer Teemu Mustonen.

History :

In 2004 Jarno-Erik moved to Oulu from Tornio where he had studied media and begun the search for potential band members for his experimental electronic-alternative-rock project "Erik & the Roses From Outerspace". The jamming nights at local bars introdused many good musicians, but the electronic side still needed more work. Jarno-Erik desided to put the project on hold and started to make more energic rock material to work on with a band.

It was late summer in 2005 when he introduced the first song "Information" to the guitarist Teemu whom he had met in the jams. They realised that the song had much rock-potential and desided to start working with more songs, with a band. That's when the first drummer Petri "Jekku-Pete" Myllykangas came on the scene. Petri also brought a great bassist Marko Tirkkonen (known from Joku Paikallinen Bändi) to the band, those days called Flux Liner. In november 2005 they got a early christmas present when keyboard player Jussi Kauppila came along the ride bringing many fresh new sounds.

Then just before christmas the band won a local bandbattle called RockPilotti using a new name: End. Some gigs were played and alot of attention gained from some respected sources and fans. So, the time was right to record the first EP "Cycle" in march, with yet a bit modified name "At the End". The Spring and the summer we're quiet for the band when J-Erik, Teemu and Jussi mostly performed conserts alone, while Petri and Marko had to do work with their "daytime-jobs" and at the end of the summer 2006 a new drummer Teemu Mustonen and bassist Aleksi Kastelli started to play with Jarno-Erik, Teemu and Jussi.

Rockpolis Oulu included the song "Information" in the "Black Gold" promo-cd 2006. Rockpolis also chose At the End as the band of the month (october 2006) . Reviews from Cycle Ep can be found on Desibeli.Net (Fi) and RockUnited.Com (En)

Antilove -single was released 30.05.07. A new EP has been planned to be released in 2007.

Jussi Kauppila

Plays keyboard and other sci-fi stuff. Delivers the most atmospheric part in the music of at the end.
